Problems and solutions of structural strengthening

Solutions of structural strengthening: externally bonded carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP) wrap, post installed anchoring, externally bonded steel plate.

Externally bonded carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP) wrap

Externally bonded carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP) wrap

Problem: The bond is not firm, the carbon fiber wrap is not soaked, hollowed and warped.

Solution:Strengthen the acceptance of base grinding and primer brushing; Carbon fiber cloth dipped in glue and then pasted; along the same side rolling, carbon fiber cloth edge appropriate more glue.

Post installed anchoring with adhesive anchoring

Post installed anchoring

Problem: The adhesive is not full and the distance between the steel bar and the hole wall is uneven

Solution: The glue injection gun was used to inject anchoring adhesive, and the steel bar was corrected twice after implantation. The length of bars exposed was reasonably retained to reduce the difficulty of operation.

Problem: Hollowing

Solution: The steel plate and the concrete surface are evenly coated with steel plate bonding glue; the thickness of the glue layer is strictly controlled; the construction is carried out by the pressure injection technology.
