So what is the difference between the carbon fiber fabric and the aramid fabric reinforcement effect? Below we share with you through the "bending performance test of reinforced concrete rectangular section beam test piece".
Due to the advantages of high strength, corrosion resistance and convenient construction, FRP has been gradually used in reinforcement technology in recent years.
The main FRP materials used in engineering structures are carbon fiber (CFRP) and aramid fiber (AFRP).
So what is the difference between the reinforcement effect of carbon fiber cloth and aramid cloth? Next, we share with you the flexural performance test of RC rectangular section beam specimens.
Material measured performance
The concrete has a design strength rating of C25, and the average axial compressive strength of the three concrete standard cube test blocks is 25. 10 MPa. The average yield strength of the longitudinal ribs 10 is 357. 10 MPa and the modulus of elasticity is 210 GPa.
The experimental results show that
(1) Carbon fibre cloth and aramid cloth can obviously improve the bearing capacity of reinforced specimens, delay the development of cracks and improve the overall stiffness;
(2) At the same time, the reinforcement effect of carbon fiber cloth is better than aramid cloth.
(3) The bearing capacity of pre-cracked specimens is also improved, but their ductility is reduced.
(4) The strain of reinforcement and concrete of reinforced specimens decreases because the fiber material bears part of the stress.
