Carbon Fiber Reinforcement Should Consider Fire Protection
At present, carbon fiber reinforcement can be said to be widely used in the field of reinforcement, but many people still do not understand how to deal with fire protection after carbon fiber reinforcement. Today Horse will take you to understand:
How much heat can carbon fiber withstand?
Carbon fiber is manufactured at a high temperature of several thousand degrees, so carbon fiber can generally withstand high temperatures above 1000 °C, but the matching carbon fiber glue can withstand high temperatures around 80-150 °C.
Therefore, the high temperature resistance after carbon fiber reinforcement can only be taken from the lower part, so if the fire resistance level is relatively high in some places, the fire resistance after carbon fiber reinforcement can only be enhanced by some other methods.
What are the fire protection methods after reinforcement?
In fact, some of the methods we usually use are to add a layer of cement mortar to the outer layer for protection, or to paint fire-resistant paint, or to paste fire-resistant boards. So surface protection, UV protection, fire protection, exterior decoration, etc., are also part of the later work of carbon fiber reinforcement.
What else should we pay attention to?
In the reinforcement, the components that are pasted and reinforced are often important stressed components. Therefore, the reinforced components cannot be damaged prematurely in a fire.
The original material of the carbon fiber reinforcement process has good high temperature resistance, but the glue used for pasting carbon fiber cannot resist high temperature. Therefore, when a fire occurs, the external adhesive reinforcement will temporarily fail, which is not conducive to escape.
Therefore, in principle, the increased strength of external bonding does not exceed 40% of the original structural strength. In the event of a fire, although the external adhesive reinforcement fails, the structure can still be maintained without serious problems.
You can find anything here you are in need of, have a trust trying on these products, you will find the big difference after that.
