Concrete surface treatment

Deterioration such as spalling, hollowing, honeycomb, corrosion and other deterioration phenomena on the surface of the concrete should be removed, and the large area of inferior layer should be repaired with designated materials after removal. The cracks should be filled and sealed first in accordance with the design requirements. The grouting adopts epoxy resin pressure grouting. A diamond angle grinder is used to remove impurities such as scum and oil on the surface of the concrete. The concrete on the base surface of the component should be polished, especially the convex parts of the surface, until the new structural surface is seen. If the concrete surface to be cleaned is more dusty, oil-free compressed air must be used to blow the dust off. Dip cotton thread in acetone, and wipe clean the sanded concrete surface. Check the concrete surface again. If there is a recessed part, it must be filled and leveled with the specified material. Report to the person in charge on site for inspection.

Cutting of carbon fiber cloth

When pasting the carbon fiber cloth, the finished carbon cloth should be cut to the size of the drawing design. Spread the carbon fiber cloth on the flat surface. According to the design size, use the wallpaper knife blade to cut the carbon fiber cloth into the required size along the fiber direction. The remaining part can be spliced, but the overlap size must be greater than or equal to 100mm. Carbon fiber cloth is a unidirectional force-receiving material, and the direction of the fiber is the force-receiving direction. Pay special attention to the direction when cutting, and do not cut the fiber diagonally. Try to avoid wire drawing when cutting. When cutting and using carbon fiber cloth, keep it away from power sources, especially high-voltage power sources and transmission lines.

Brushing and leveling glue

Preparation of leveling glue. The concave parts of the concrete surface should be filled with leveling glue, and the parts with height differences such as formwork joints should be filled with leveling glue to minimize the height difference.

Apply primer

Keep away from the fire source and avoid direct sunlight. Refer to the corresponding product description for the specific method of primer preparation, or follow the requirements of the person in charge on site.

Paste carbon fiber cloth

Mix and mix the glue for the pasting material, and then evenly apply it to the area to be pasted, and apply more carbon fiber cloth to the lap and concrete corners. After confirming that the pasted position is correct, paste one end of the carbon fiber cloth on the concrete surface. While sticking, use a rolling brush to repeatedly roll in the same direction along the longitudinal direction of the fiber cloth to remove bubbles and wrinkles, and make the glue for pasting fully penetrate the carbon fiber cloth. Do not damage the carbon fiber cloth during rolling.

Construction quality control and assurance measures

Quality control of structural adhesives and carbon fiber materials

The selected structural glue and carbon fiber materials must have long engineering application examples, and various performance indicators must meet the requirements of national standards or design indicators. The selected structural adhesive must be tested on site. When opening the lid of each group of structural adhesives, you must check the color, smell, and viscosity of the adhesive for any abnormalities. If there are any abnormalities, stop using it and check whether the production date is within the warranty period. Products that are not within the warranty period should be stopped immediately. The selected carbon fiber materials must meet the material requirements and structural size requirements, and each batch of carbon fiber materials must be sent for testing. The cutting of carbon fiber must follow the direction of the fiber as the force direction. Pay special attention to the direction when cutting, and do not cut the fiber diagonally. Try to avoid wire drawing when cutting.
